Some basic editing guidelines

Hi, please do not add categories to pages until you've edited here for a while. We use a nested category system, and you've been adding categories to pages that technically already have those categories under the nested system. Hi please note that it is against policy to make unuseful edits for the purpose of getting Game of Rassilon points. Categories

Hi you need to stop editing category descriptions or adding categories to pages. You still haven't learned our category system; in general the categories you add to pages are unnecessary. In addition, your descriptions of categories use too much real world knowledge and are therefore too narrow or too broad for what we want. Please find another way to edit here until you have more experience editing in different ways. I suggest you use the "random page" function to view pages to see how we do things here and visit Tardis:Categorisation and Tardis:Don't over-categorise. Any further adding of categories or editing of category descriptions could result in a very long block because you have been blocked several times for ignoring admin instructions. Please. I implore you. Try to read the messages on your talk page from myself, Shambala, and Nate. Try to read our policies. Because you keep violating our policies in the exact same ways we tell you how to avoid (insisting on using the term "crook" when no in-universe source does so, adding categories when you don't understand our category system, etc). Crooks

Hi, I've seen your messages on a few people's talk pages about the crook/criminal debate, and maybe I can help clear things up.

• Thief: a person who steals things. Often this involves burglary, but not always.
• Burglar: a person who breaks into a building to commit a crime. Often this crime is stealing (making the person a thief), but not always.
• Crook: derogatory slang for a criminal of any type. Not all crooks are thieves, and not all thieves are crooks.

Hopefully that helps.

It doesn't seem like any of your edits have been based on stories; they're mostly about definitions. Speaking as a mere fellow editor, a good idea might be to read, watch, or listen to a story we cover on this wiki, then add information from that story to relevant pages. You are blocked for a week for failing to follow my instructions to not add categories to pages. You incorrectly added a category to night, which you would have understood if you had read the category description. This is a little puzzling since you've lately been added descriptions to other category pages, but don't bother to read the ones already written. Also, you are not blocked for this, but you have been making small edits that are often unhelpful and sometimes even wrong. Yet again I ask, please read T:NO RW. We explicitly cannot use information unless it's used in a Doctor Who Universe story. It does not matter how people behave in real life. If it's not explicitly stated to be that way in the Doctor Who Universe, we do not add it to this wiki. You've already been temporarily blocked a few times, it's likely to be a full block if this continues, and really, nobody wants this. Grammar edits

Hi, many of your edits are grammatically incorrect (especially the comma ones) or are just unnecessary changes to word choice. Please do not make these kinds of edits, especially if you have to ask in your edit summary if the edit is correct. If you don't know, don't do it. And do not change any more commas. I suggest reading Tardis:Comma to get some of the necessary information on how to use commas.

Also there have been complaints that you are still violating T:NO RW in some of your edits. You haven't done this in the last few days, but you have been told many times that we only use story sources on our in-universe pages; we don't assume that the DW universe is the same as the real world. Since you have been told many times to read the policy but you continue to violate it, a further edit of this kind might result in a longer block than the previous ones. Endless

As you can note, the wiki does not have pages for "endless" nor for "infinite", because we do not have pages for adjectives. We do, however, have a page for infinity, but "infinity" is a precise concept that is not synonymous with "endless". On this wiki we only wikify nouns. Do not link adjectives to the pages for nouns without more experience. It tends to only be proper in some very fringe situations. Also, don't use the category system, since you get it wrong, or real world knowledge, which you've continued to do, and is explicitly forbidden by our rules. Najawin ☎ 05:59, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi, when I say "please", I am just being polite. It is not a request, it is an admin instruction. Stop deleting spaces; they are there for a reason. You should never make formatting changes without asking an admin first.
