Granddad Prentice was the father of Jackie Tyler and the grandfather of Rose Tyler and Tony Tyler.
He smoked and died from a heart attack around 1997. (TV: Army of Ghosts) His funeral occurred when his granddaughter was around eight or nine years old. Though the funeral itself was sombre, the wake itself was lively, something Rose considered to embody the rich life her grandfather had lived. (AUDIO: The Last Party on Earth)
According to Jackie in 2007, he came back as a friendly ghost. This ghost was actually a Cyberman that was passing through the Void to reach N-Space. (TV: Army of Ghosts)
