This page lists appearances of the Cybermen in the order in which they experienced them. This timeline is based upon Outcast's observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events that occur during each of these stories.

Pre-ramble[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Cybermen's timeline is perhaps one of the most complex. Generally, the wiki's own Timeline tries to place them based on dates alone. But I've always found this a bit odd, since various stories do show the Cybermen as time-travellers, albeit their time-travel is very faulty and unreliable.

This timeline, then, will mostly be based around which design of Cyberman is operating in a given story. Whilst the David Banks lore was to ascribe each different design to a different Cyberman faction, the more modern (and my preferred) conception of the various design changes are that they are evolutions of the previous - which fits more with how the actual designs appear.

Prime Universe Cybermen[[edit] | [edit source]]

Mondasian Age[[edit] | [edit source]]

After Mondas[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Cybermen on Telos go into hibernation in their Tomb (TV: Tomb of the Cybermen)

The First CyberWar[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Time Travel Gambit[[edit] | [edit source]]

Surviving[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Cybermen lost the CyberWars

New era[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Dying Days[[edit] | [edit source]]

Features two variants of Cybermen - the first is a group of Wheel in Space era Cybermen who have been trapped for many years, the second is a group depicted as the Isomorph versions but that speak with the Real Time voice.
Despite the Cybermen being depicted as the Invasion design on the cover art and comic preview, the voices used are more akin to that of the Real Time versions.
Despite using a Neomorph design on the cover, the Cyberman in this story speaks with a voice akin to that of the Real Time versions

Post-Time War[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Cybermen on the Colony Ship eventually escape into the wider universe (TV: The Doctor Falls)

Associating with the Master[[edit] | [edit source]]

Flux[[edit] | [edit source]]

Pete's World[[edit] | [edit source]]

Origins[[edit] | [edit source]]

Entering the main universe[[edit] | [edit source]]

These Cybermen merge with the prime universe lot (TV: Nightmare in Silver)

Unplaced[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Cybermen in this story feature a unique chest logo design, which makes them difficult to place
