Abiathar was an Ice Warrior scientist

Abiathar was pair-bonded with Jakernia. He worked to make it possible for his kind to survive in warmer climates than they were used to and created environment suits to this end. He experimented on himself and began to uncontrollably absorb heat, turning him orange, and crash-landed in the Northern Territory.
He found by Ros Green, who did not intend on taking him to a medic as he asked and instead ended up taking him to Alice Springs to present him at a television station. His heat detonated the fuel in the van she was driving, destroying the vehicle and killing her, and he lost control of his mind. He fought UNIT and was ultimately infected with the Eleven's toxin and released in space by Jakernia to die without endangering others. (AUDIO: Fire and Ice)
