- In Robert deLaurentis' proposed Eighth Doctor movie script The Time of My Life, the Doctor's father "John Smith" was married to a woman named Anne Baker, and they had a daughter. This was mentioned as part of Joyce's backstory in Unnatural History, and DeLaurentis was thanked in the acknowledgements of the book.
- Anne and Daniel appeared in Jonathan Dennis' The Killing of a Flash Boy, published in the charity anthology Missing Pieces, where the Eighth Doctor entrusted them with raising a boy with psychic powers being hunted by UNIT.
