The International Electromatics Automated Technical Support Service, or IE ATSS for short, was an "automated product technical support service" powered by MediaPlay on the Customer Support part of the International Electromatics website. The readers of Defending the Earth! spoke with the service to troubleshoot the radio belonging to "ChatGuest1", eventually fixing the radio by getting ChatGuest1 to press the FM button twice.
