Lights Out was the twelfth Puffin eshort released. It was released one year after the series originally ended, to commemorate the debut of the Twelfth Doctor.

It was later published in the short stories anthologies 12 Doctors, 12 Stories and Thirteen Doctors, 13 Stories.
