I think the name should be changed to "Ingiga" as it appeared on screen which should trump the novelisation. I see no problem with referencing the different spelling and gender in a section of the article about the novelisation. - The novelization says it's a she. Not sure about the episode itself, though. -<Azes13 21:59, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Name of the Ancient One[[edit source]]
If you look closely at the list of names that comes out of ULTIMA, the final name is Ingiga, not Ingiger. Shouldn't this page go by what was established in the show, not the novelisations?
It should, and the show simply names it the Ancient One. Also the character is portrayed by a male actor making it unlikely the character is male. I've edited most the article to be more canon, but I can't fix the title. Please people, stop referencing spin-off material willy-nilly. Most of the classic series spin-off material is NOT confirmed as canon, and some of it has been proven not to be (Human Nature for example, or the whole 'looms' bullshit for Time Lords). The canon is what's in the show, and that is what the main article consists of. If you want to mention spin-off material related to the subject, do so in a subsection. - official TARDIS Wiki policy (unless they've changed it since I last stopped by) makes non-tv material(or at least most of them), canon. I think that novelizations remain a gray area. however, we decided when the Wiki started to include Expanded Universe material as canon.
