Epsilon and TheGreatGabester have identified that the design of our dab page, you may, and for templates is causing severe formatting issues on many of our pages (Whoisdoctorwho.co.uk chief among them). This problem could be very simply resolved by following our evil twin: as one can see at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who, Wikipedia uses Wikipedia:Hatnote formatting for these templates, and the result can handle more links (our templates are currently capped at 2) while causing no issues. While Epsilon has proposed a thread about this at Tardis:Temporary forums, applying this fix to every instance of for across the wiki would be as easy as editing this template page. I believe this is a common-sense change and should be implemented without us having to wait for a forum slot to open up. – n8 (☎) 17:49, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

Hatnoteedit

Epsilon and TheGreatGabester have identified that the design of our dab page, you may, and for templates is causing severe formatting issues on many of our pages (Whoisdoctorwho.co.uk chief among them). This problem could be very simply resolved by following our evil twin: as one can see at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who, Wikipedia uses hatnote formatting for these templates, and the result can handle more links (our templates are currently capped at 2) while causing no issues. While Epsilon has proposed a thread about this at Tardis:Temporary forums, applying this fix to every instance of for across the wiki would be as easy as editing this template page. I believe this is a common-sense change and should be implemented without us having to wait for a forum slot to open up. – n8 () 17:49, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

I would also like to convert Section stub into an indented hatnote - the boxes are currently causing issues on Chris Cwej, especially now that we've finally allowed non-widescreen images. PintlessMan 18:06, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
