The eighth issue of Death's Head (1988) was cover dated July 1989. The only thing contained within was the original comic story, Time Bomb!.

It was one of five issues in the publication's run to be of interest to this wiki. Unlike other stories, which are considered relevant to Doctor Who through the appearance of Keepsake and his vulture due to them originating in Doctor Who Magazine, this issue was a full-fledged crossover with the Seventh Doctor returning to face Death's Head after the two had previously met DWM's The Crossroads of Time.

Also appearing were Josiah W. Dogbolter and his robot assistant Hob, both of whom appeared to meet their demise at the end of the story. In 1993 in The Incomplete Death's Head, it was revealed that Hob had been flung through the Time Vortex and after being heavily refurbished, he built a database dedicated to the life of Death's Head in order to track down Dogbolter. However, The Incomplete Death's Head was largely ignored and in 2016 Dogbolter and the original Hob reappeared in Doctor Who Magazine's five hundredth issue in The Stockbridge Showdown.

The most significant part of this issue, however, was the cliffhanger leading into next issue's Clobberin' Time!. The Doctor's TARDIS appeared to drop Death's Head off on top of the Fantastic Four's Four Freedom Plaza implying that the Doctor Who universe was a part of the larger Marvel universe.
