The seventh series in The Lost Stories range of audios was released by Big Finish Productions in 2023.
Overview[[edit] | [edit source]]
The two confirmed stories, The Ark and Daleks! Genesis of Terror, are based on the original storylines of The Ark in Space (originally by John Lucarotti, rewritten on-screen by Robert Holmes) and Genesis of the Daleks (originally by Terry Nation). The two stories, along with 2021's Return of the Cybermen (based on Gerry Davis' original vision of Revenge of the Cybermen), formed part of "Season 12" Lost Stories.
Joining Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor are Sadie Miller and Christopher Naylor, recreating the roles of companions Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan (originally portrayed by Elisabeth Sladen, mother of Sadie, and Ian Marter respectively).
The stories were originally planed to be released in March 2023, [1] but ended up being pushed back to May and June 2023, respectively.[2] Artwork for the covers was done by Ryan Aplin, who posted textless covers on Twitter.[3]
Although The Ark was advertised as the first story, Daleks! Genesis of Terror was released first.
