I know that, as of a few years ago, it was a long-standing problem on Wikipedia that there was no way to ensure that protection templates actually match the protection status. Has that problem still not been resolved? --Falcotron 21:30, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

:The Time of Angels isn't full locked. I've got the protection setting open in another tab. The page is semi-protected for editing, but is admin locked with regards to Move permissions. Also, looking at the page's history it couldn't be fully protected there've been edits made over the last few days. You can check out the Special:ProtectedPages (pages that exist) and Special:ProtectedTitles (pages that don't exist but have been create protected). Of these there are only three full protected pages two example images and the list of admins page, or the titles there are 27 which are mostly to prevent vandalism/because of it (or things like unnamed Christmas episodes). --Tangerineduel 17:02, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
::Just to check, new users have to make a certain amount of edits before they can edit the semi-protected pages. Shouldn't that be noted as well? --The Thirteenth Doctor 17:42, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Full protectionedit source

"Full protection prevents all users from editing an article or page." -- I'm assuming this doesn't really mean all users, only all non-admin/sysop users? Otherwise, how could the protection ever be removed? --Bedawyn 21:46, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that's true. Changed and clarified. --Tangerineduel 04:35, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Template:Semi-protect on fully locked pages?edit source

The Time of Angels is currently fully locked, but only the Semi-protect template is included there. And I've seen that on at least one other page, but I can't remember which.

This leads to confusion for people who don't understand why they can't understand the page. And it could even reduce the chances that people who can edit the page will look for requests for changes on the talk page (and performing those changes and/or responding), although I'm just speculating there.

The Time of Angels isn't full locked.
Just to check, new users have to make a certain amount of edits before they can edit the semi-protected pages. Shouldn't that be noted as well? --The Thirteenth Doctor 17:42, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
