The Cage, also called the Metaltron Cage, was an area located within Henry van Statten's installation known as "the Vault". Within the Cage was a chained Dalek (dubbed the "Metaltron") that Van Statten had acquired. When Rose Tyler came in contact with the Dalek, it absorbed the DNA, and thus the biomass, of the time traveller and gained the strength to escape. (TV: Dalek)
