Local Museum curatress vanishes was the first short story published in the interior booklet of The Dead Shoes on 8 October 2009[source needed] by BBC Audio. Written by Paul Magrs, this story is notable for revealing Mrs Wibbsey's first name: Fenella.

It is revealed in a newspaper clipping that Fenella Wibbsey, curatress of Cromer Palace of Curios, has taken "a number of choice exhibits" with her when she left the town.
