Ying Ki was the son of Ying Wai, and lived with his father in a Chinese coastal village in 1807.
When Ki believed his father had been killed by a pirate queen, he led the Thirteenth Doctor and her companions to his body. The Doctor observed that his wounds bore signs of hexo-toxic poisoning, and determined that he had been killed by a Sea Devil biological weapon. (TV: Legend of the Sea Devils)
