Jessamy Moore was a journalist from 1898 London who was abducted by the Master and brought to Planetoid 50 to reenact The War of the Worlds, being the only survivor of the Martian invaders.
She encountered the Doctor during his degeneration crisis in the form of the First Doctor. She told him about her experiences.
After seeing the Doctor degenerate into the future form of the Tenth Doctor, she made her way to Southwark with him, encountering Strax and Vastra. Strax told her of their adventures. After the Doctor had thwarted Missy and pacified the Martians, Jessamy was returned home along with the Paternoster Gang, though she decided against publishing any of her experiences.
