Theodore Clancy was an astronomer. He discovered Clancy's comet in 1661, and calculated that it passed Earth every 157 years. This would be confirmed when the Third Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith and Jeremy Fitzoliver witnessed it pass over Italy on 17 May, 1975. (AUDIO: The Ghosts of N-Space)
