Esperance

Esperance was a town in Western Australia close to where at least a portion of Skylab fell in 1979. The Tenth Doctor once spent some time near Esperance while rebuffing a Zalphon invasion with a local lad named Harvey. (PROSE: Bennelong Point) The debris was later recovered by NASA, with the help of the Doctor. It was found between Esperance and Rawlinna. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Esperance is both a town and a shire of Western Australia, and it really was where part of Skylab fell. Though unremarked in the story, the town charged the United States of America for littering because of the event. Though the fine was ignored by the federal government, it was eventually paid by American citizens in 2009.
