Ianto Jones's car was an AUDI A4.[source needed]

John Ellis, after being displaced from 1953 and learning that his family was gone, stole Ianto's car in order to commit suicide by carbon monoxide posioning. Upon looking for his car keys, Ianto realised John had taken his car and informed Jack Harkness. As the car was fitted with a tracking device, Jack traced the car to John's residence and caught him in the middle of a suicide attempt. Despite Jack's initial attempts to talk John out of it, he reluctantly decided to join him in the car and hold his hand. Jack was unaffected due to his own immortality.
