Marie Curie was a scientist from Earth in the 19th (PROSE: The Ark) and 20th centuries, (AUDIO: A Ghost of Alchemy) as was her husband Pierre. (PROSE: The Ark)

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

This section's awfully stubby.

More information from AUDIO: A Ghost of Alchemy needs to be added.

In 1911, Marie Curie attended a scientific conference in Brussels, alongside fellow scientists Albert Einstein, Hendrik Lorentz, Max Planck and Ernest Rutherford. The Robot Doctor planned to use his self-destruct mechanism to destroy them, in order to draw in the real First Doctor, but he was talked down by Vicki Pallister. (AUDIO: Fugitive of the Daleks)

In 1921, Marie Curie visited the United States, where she was celebrated for her work. She met with President Warren G. Harding at the White House. (AUDIO: A Ghost of Alchemy)

Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Eighth Doctor claimed to know her "intimately". Grace Holloway asked if she kissed "as good as me". The Bruce Master mockingly corrected her by saying, "as well as you." (TV: Doctor Who)

Plotting to destroy Earth's solar system in 1639, the Eleven noted that, among others, Marie Curie would never be born. (AUDIO: The Satanic Mill)
