Another Postcard from Mr Colchester was a special release in the Torchwood - Monthly Range by Big Finish Productions, marked as release 80X. It was written by James Goss.

Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Mr Colchester has a message for us all. He's at the bottom of the sea and he's found a mobile phone. He thinks there's something on it which might be important for the future of the human race.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

At the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, Mr Colchester finds the mobile phone dropped off a ferry on the way to court by Miriam Jenkins, a press agent whose phone found holds information on all of her clients. He locates it and puts it in a bag of rice to dry it out, intending on using a Torchwood device to absorb the data from its SIM card. He has a sneak peek and confirms his suspicion that Jenkins knew of her celebrity client's activities and that her client was aware that she knew.

In addition to Jenkins's phone, Mr Colchester finds numerous others, including ones belonging to a politician who is happiest when playing a video game about bunnies, a man who takes out his frustrations on minorities and a difficult journalist whose colleagues only saw them happy when the team was celebrating a policewoman's suicide. Another belongs to an unfriendly captain of industry who stole ideas and assumes that her father is now dead as he no longer texts her telling her how she could do things better.

Mr Colchester is not actually at the bottom of the sea. He is telling a story which he reveals he has made up so he can hack into the phone of the listener and find what it is they do not want made public. Upon finding it, he assures the listener that they are no worse than anybody else and asks them if they are okay before laughing, bidding them a farewell until next time.
