:While that is a good point, because of how similar it looks to the Doctor's, it's enitrely possible she simply used one of his spare sonics that he may have lying around, and decided after that to design her own. So it would be a good idea to maybe include it as a 'Behind the Scenes' bit of info, as we don't know for sure if she made that sonic and later refined and changed the design, or if she had the Doctor's spare sonic. It appears that she actually first has her own screwdriver in City of Death. In the scene where she breaks into the cafe after going to the Louvre with Duggan she appears to use a sonic to open the door. It looks like the Doctor's and that would have been my assumption, but there's one problem with that. The Doctor just shortly before this used his sonic to open the door into the gallery and is currently in Renaissance Italy talking to Scaroth when Romana does this. - While that is a good point, because of how similar it looks to the Doctor's, it's enitrely possible she simply used one of his spare sonics that he may have lying around, and decided after that to design her own.
