Time to add it?

We already know that Matt Smith will continue as the Doctor in Series 7, but now (according to Matt's FB page) John Fay will be writing for it as well. Witoki 19:15, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

A new source has been commissioned by the BBC stating that 14 new episodes are confirmed and all to be starring Matt Smith. Both of you have asked, and the answer is no. It way to early to even think about making it. Yes, we have a BBC source, but it is too early, to premature to make it. It will be made after Series 6 has finished airing. Mini-mitch\talk 15:18, June 9, 2011 (UTC)

Why is it premature to be made? This wikia go's of solid facts and we have them therefore they should be documented. I agree with Michael Downey, the Series 6 page was created while Series 5 was still going. I think a good example was the Series 5 (The Sarah Jane Adventures) page. It was created while Series 3 was still going as the BBC had confirmed episodes starring Elisabeth Sladen. That's all it had written on it. Something like "Series 5 of The Sarah Jane Adventures has been confirmed to be broadcast in 2011 by the BBC. Elisabeth Sladen will resume her role as Sarah Jane Smith" and then a reference to a BBC page. That was all. Of course, after Lis Sladen's tragic death, that page got a bit rumourful, but I think it was good until then. We should create a Series 6 page that says: "Series 6 or Season 33 has been confirmed to be broadcast in 2012. It will consist of 14 episodes, one of which will be written by John Fay. Matt Smith will reprise his role as the Doctor" and lock it until later. Its premature, but its been done and worked before. Bigredrabbit 06:22, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

Rumors

Just a quick point on the rumors section, if you read the sources, they never actually say that River or Jack are going to come back, just a "maybe or maybe not, who knows, could be, I hope so." That's not a rumor. A rumor is "a statement or claim of questionable accuracy, from no known reliable source, usually spread by word of mouth." They aren't actually making a statement or claim in the sources. Therefore, the 'rumors' about River and Jack should be removed. --Bold Clone 18:13, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Both of them are rumours. Rumours mean "uncertain or doubtful of the truth" (Oxford English Dictionary). Both rumours link to series 7, the site has been noted to be very reliable in the past and also, it uses interviews as their sources for each. The site does not make up the rumours, nor are they confirmed facts. They have interviews which hint towards it, which makes it a rumour. If the way it's word suggests it a rumour then we add it. Of course we won't add "We hope Jack will be back", but if it says Matt Smith, Steven Moffat, Alex Kingston or whoever has hinted at the return of X and the source mentions series 7, then it becomes a rumour. Your problem is that the sources are just that: "We hope they will be back." In the source for River, all that point towards River returning is this: “I’d love to [return]. As long as we feel that there are still stories to tell, I’m happy to continue.” That is not a factual statement that is doubtful of the truth. That is a stated desire; Kingston wants to return. We have nothing more than that to go on from that source. This is excatly the same as the discussion we had over Torchwood. Their return might be hinted with "maybe they will come back," but they also say" who knows if I will come back?" --Bold Clone 18:42, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Between 2012 and 2013

What don't you believe? An official BBC spokesman? They will do what they need, want and must do, so saying it "can't" is does not really mean anything, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I also don't like the idea, but I added it since it was an official BBC spokesman that said it, and their are numerous sources for it. There no need for this page to be deleted, it serves it purpose, which is too gather all the information of series 7, since information is already been told and leaked about it. They may be lying. You never know. Perhaps they're just trying to tease us into thinking it. I'm glad you two don't like the idea, and I would be suprised if you did like the idea. But remember, this is against policy. We don't have an in-universe proof that it will be spread over two years. Also, Steven Moffat is against this. Thanks Mini-mitch, that was a delightfully prompt fix. The other major issue I saw is the number of times that references are followed immediately by punctuation. Wikipedia's Manual of Style dictates that when punctuation and references are adjacent that the reference should always come last so it's always a bit jarring to see it done otherwise even on other wikis.

Speaking of, does either the Tardis Index File or wikia itself have a Manual of Style to assure uniformity of a wiki's articles so the wiki doesn't look haphazard and unprofessional? I've been looking for months and haven't been able to find one so I've using WP's as a guide everywhere except wiktionary which does have one of its own. --Kitsunegami ^{talk to me} 23:52, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Why is Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill not listed in the Main Casts part?

Surely, they will remain as full-time companions in Series 7?

From the interviews I've seen, it seems more like they'll be recurring guest stars than constant companions but it's not terribly clear. --Kitsunegami ^{talk to me} 05:51, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

There's no way to tell for certain. We need to wait till their involvement is actually confirmed. All we have are the actor's statements made at comic conventions. They could still end up only appearing in the season finale or something a la Rose Tyler in Series 4. Or not at all bearing in mind production of Series 7 isn't starting until after the new year (Christmas special notwithstanding). The lack of any new companion actor or actress being announced doesn't mean anything because there's also been some indication the Doctor may be entering a period of solo travel. 68.146.80.110 14:43, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Currently, one sentence appears as

To preserve paralleism, this should be changed to

Karen Gilian, who plays Amy Pond, will return for the series, as will Arthur Darvill as Amy's husband Rory Williams.
