Nick Hurran directed The Girl Who Waited and The God Complex for the sixth series of Doctor Who and Asylum of the Daleks and The Angels Take Manhattan for the seventh series. He also directed the 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor.
He had previously worked on the ITV drama The Last Detective, starring Peter Davison.
