Lucia Cailloux was a French explorer. She was one of the few humans to have contact with the North American mammoths - which were possibly a remnant of the Original Mammoths

Born in the era of the French Revolution, Lucia worked for Napoléon Bonaparte during the beginning of the 19th century. Shortly after the Louisiana Purchase, Lucia ventured into America (specifically Montana and hired a Shoshone named Broken Nose.

After several days walking through the wilds of Montana, Lucia literally stumbled into a crater inhabited by the mammoths. After startling one of the mammoths and getting it to rear up, Lucia touched the mammoth for a brief moment before Broken Nose ran to her.

Some time later, a French woman (most likely Lucia) presented President Thomas Jefferson with a box constructed from ivory. The expedition of Lewis and Clark found that the mammoths' crater had been made into a mammoth graveyard. (PROSE: Grass)
