Canterbury James Olliphant, commonly known by the nickname Canto, was a member of the Anglican Marines stationed on Kastarion 3 in 5087.

He tried to swap patrols with Mundy Flynn. After flirting with her, he went to see the tattoo that she gave one of their fellow clergy, Posh Graham. He came after Mundy after she went into the field. Misreading the situation, he fatally shot Ruby Sunday.
