How exactly does the time lock function. Now it was assumed in stolen earth/journey's end that a time lock simply prevents you from going back into events that are well time locked. Fair enough, but the end of time confused things a bit. in that story they have to go to such extreme extents to escape the time lock acting as though you can't get out of it too  it seals you in and you are trapped forever. How then did the Master and the cult of skaro just fly out of the war they didn't go to any big extremes like that. Winehousefan, 08:15, June 18, 2010 [UTC] &nbsp

:I don't think the Cult of Skaro or the Master "flew out" of the war - they survived it by hiding until it was over. So when the Doctor ended the war with his mysterious "moment", the Cult were safely ensconced in the void, and the Master had already created his Yana identity. I don't think the Cult of Skaro or the Master "flew out" of the war - they survived it by hiding until it was over. So when the Doctor ended the war with his mysterious "moment", the Cult were safely ensconced in the void, and the Master had already created his Yana identity.
