The '''Sound Creature''' is an entity inhabiting an alternate universe. It is unknown what it exactly is. It's physical form is that of a huge ameoba. It learns very fast & comunicates through rhythm.

The '''sound creature''' was an entity inhabiting the [[Divergent Universe]]. It may have been brought there accidentally by the [[Eighth Doctor]] and [[Charley Pollard]]. It manifested itself as sound in the form of music and fed on sound, particularly emotional sound, or sound coming from the vocal chords.


== History ==
The sound creature was encountered when the [[Eighth Doctor]] and [[Charlotte Pollard|Charley Pollard]] were stranded in an alternate universe. At first, it was only able to echo simple sounds. It evolved the capacity for communication during the course of the experiment it had become a part of. It had already out-evolved the species that would have arisen originally and which had died out. The sound creature eventually learned to make music and master speech, and almost out-evolved the Doctor and Charley when the Doctor attempted to feed it enough to get it to evolve the ability to reason. The Doctor and Charley managed to evolve themselves to keep up with it. Desperate, it attempted to convince them to die for its sake, but they both refused. This let them out-evolve it and become the dominant life form in the experiment. With this new power, the Doctor silenced it forever, chose not to kill it, and left it in the experiment. When the Doctor & Charley Pollard were stranded in an alternate universe, & were immediatley assaulted by sensory deprivation. they were blinded, could not taste or smell, and could only feel eachother's hands. The only sense that is working is hearing. After walking for a while, they hear the TARDIS, which had supposedley been destroyed, materializing. however, this was just the Creature manifesting itself for the first time, using the first sound the pair had made in this universe. After the Doctor & Charley fight over what the noise was, Charley trips over an alien body. Soon, the light fades & their senses return. They hear a very faint "help me!". Charley thinks it's the body, but the Doctor says it's long dead, and it can't be reflexes. The "help me!" 's continue in a seemingly random pattern, until the Creature releases a cacophany that greatly freightens Charley. The Doctor scolds it, but then the light returns. After Charley was humming to pass the time, the Doctor tells her to stop it. After a long silence from the doctor, they both realize that the way time moves in the Creature's universe is different. They have been walking for over 2 weeks. Then, after a long silence, the Creature repeats Charley's humming. The Doctor at first thinks it's Charley, but then realizes it's someone-or something-else. The Creature then bombards them with random snippets of their conversations, then fires off another cacophany. After this, the light fades, and both realize they need to eat the dead bodies they keep finding in various states of advancement. The Sound Creature, in Ameoba form, attacks the doctor, but Charley subdues it. Afterwards, the Doctor & Charley continue their trek through the light. Every once in a while, the creature put on a show with it's "Music", really unintelligible noise. However, it gets better and better at putting together pieces. After the doctor & Charley's hands fuse into one, and they combine into one, the creature visits them in the other's form.  it tries to convince them to give it full life by giving up theirs, but they resist it, and with a last Cacophonous scream, it is once more reduced to "help me!" until it finally faded. Never to be heard again.

The sound creature was an entity inhabiting the Divergent Universe. It may have been brought there accidentally by the Eighth Doctor and Charley Pollard. It manifested itself as sound in the form of music and fed on sound, particularly emotional sound, or sound coming from the vocal chords.
