SS Maycrest was a ship used by the British Army. In 1916, Captain Edward Sackville-Smythe was tasked with transporting the British West Indies Regiment aboard the ship from Jamaica to fight in the First World War as well as secretly moving two Yukionna from Japan. SS Maycrest was inspired by SS Verdala, which was renamed SS Maycrest in 1940.[1]
