Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
Throughout The ArcHive Tapes, the Earth Documents function as a rationale for the use of archive audio from select serials of the classic Doctor Who series, similar to how recovered space-time transmissions would be cited in The Dalek Conquests. Thus, the Earth Documents are essentially in-universe recordings of the Doctor's adventures. Elsewhere, the Dalek Survival Guide identifies Doctor Who as an in-universe documentary series.
