The Next Step in Space! was the name given on BBC iPlayer to a short sketch in the episode of Saturday Mash-Up! Live entitled The Next Step and ThatsWatson. It was the fourth instalment of the Doctor Doctor series of Doctor Who parodies on that show, and it was broadcast on 3 August 2024. It starred Joe Tasker as Doctor Doctor, Shereen Cutkelvin as his companion Patience Patience, and Dave Chapman as AIEIO. Despite its name, it only featured an actor from The Next Step - Alexandra Chaves - as herself, rather than featuring a narrative crossover with the series. It also featured ThatsWatson.
