Poppaea Sabina, known as Poppaea or Poppy by her husband, (PROSE: The Romans) was the wife of Roman Emperor Nero, who she married in 62. (PROSE: The Universal Databank [+]Loading...["The Universal Databank (reference book)"])
In July 64, she tried to poison Barbara Wright, believing that she was usurping her throne. When the plan failed, she had the poison maker, Locusta, taken away to the arena.
