:::I'll note that, as it's not a colour article, this page isn't actually required to have a source for the name the way those are — a dolman is an object and as such could fall under the "blender" principle that would permit it to have a page with a conjecture tag. :::Personally I would swing for Military jacket, or perhaps even a dabbed Military jacket (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang) about specifically this type of jacket, without trying to conjecture the name. I think merging it into a "military jacket" or simply "jacket" would make more sense than an über-broad militay cloathing overview: an ornate red-and-gold 19th century officer jacket really has little in common with camo-green slacks. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 13:29, 25 November 2024 (UTC) |

If this page hadn't been created, I wondered where this information would have gone. And "military jacket" seems like the best, most generic way to cover the information, as I'm unsure if there's a T:VS source for "dolman" that can support this article. Or maybe even moving / creating an even more broad page like "military clothing" so pages like Scrim (fabric) could also be dealt with.
If not renaming this page, then a conjecture should be placed, and if the intro can't be substantiated with sourced info, that removed. --Tangerineduel / talk 12:56, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'd favour a merging into a military clothing article. I'm fairly confident "dolman" is not mentioned in dialogue in any of the cited sources. BlueSupergiant ☎ 13:06, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Changed rename to military clothing. --Tangerineduel / talk 13:18, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

- Personally I would swing for Military jacket, or perhaps even a dabbed Military jacket (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang) about specifically this type of jacket, without trying to conjecture the name. I think merging it into a "military jacket" or simply "jacket" would make more sense than an über-broad militay cloathing overview: an ornate red-and-gold 19th century officer jacket really has little in common with camo-green slacks. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 13:29, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
