David Bailie (4 December 1937[1]-6 March 2021[2]) played Dask in the Doctor Who television story The Robots of Death and later played the Celestial Toymaker in the Big Finish Productions audio dramas The Nightmare Fair and Solitaire. He reprised the role of Taren Capel in the Kaldor City audio plays Taren Capel and Checkmate.

He was also considered for the role of Gharman in Genesis of the Daleks.[3]
