hello . in some story called the brain of moribuis ( or some name like that ).
It shows that they may be more than 10 doctors
where the faces the doctors possible past ( or future ) selves ????
or where the faces of moribuis (or somthing like that ) past incarnations ???
will the doctor who restoration team ever reconstruct missing doctor who eps and release them on dvd ?????
- The Brain of Morbius is supposed to be coming to DVD later this year. It does indeed show at least 6 doctors prior to The First Doctor. These are usually reffered to as "Morbius Doctors". I would be surprised if this wasn't mentioned on the article page. These Doctors are not usually counted, as they have been ignored in later serials that establish that William Hartnell was the first doctor (The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, Mawdryn Undead). - Here's an interesting theory I've recently come up with surrounding the Morbius Doctors.
- In actuality, the Doctor's supposed Fourth incarnation was really his thirteenth. The Watcher was a being, perhaps created by the White Guardian, which would give the Doctor a new set of regenerations following the events of Logopolis. This also explains why the Watcher was there at all, since none of the Doctor's previous incarnations had required the Watcher to regenerate.Rotwang's Son 20:03, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think you have a misconception about what the story actually showed. for all we know, the Fourth Doctor may have needed the Watcher to regenerate, but the story did not have anyone say this. the Watcher's primary role in the story came down to ensuring things in his personal past (i.e. the Fourth Doctor's present) would take place as the Watcher remembered.
- actually, I think I have read your theory before.
- if you accept the books as canon, the Other explains away the Morbius Doctors. personally, I think that the Doctor made up the Morbius Doctors with his mind in order to win the contest. or to try to win the contest, depending on who you think won it. --Stardizzy2 23:56, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
