Beta, along with Alpha and Omega, was one of the first ever Daleks made into humanised Daleks by the Human Factor in an experiment by the Dalek Emperor. All three were named by the Second Doctor. (TV: The Evil of the Daleks)
Beta survived the Dalek Civil War on Skaro and joined the other humanised Daleks when they travelled to the planet Kyrol. Here, they survived and bred. However, they were manipulated by Kata-Phobus, a telepathic parasite. The Daleks destroyed themselves to prevent Kata-Phobus from feeding on them. (COMIC: Children of the Revolution)
