Instructions for {{Main}}
{{Main}} is a simple template that highlights a link to an article that is considered the "main" article for that particular topic. It's best placed directly underneath a section header. For instance, if you were on the general article about sonic screwdrivers, you might have a brief section about River Song's sonic screwdriver, but direct readers to the main article about her sonic, like this:
== River Song's sonic screwdriver ==
{{main|River Song's sonic screwdriver}}
River Song had a sonic screwdriver of her own, which was an integral part of an adventure she shared with the [[Tenth Doctor]] on [[the Library]] planet.

which would result in:

River Song's sonic screwdriver

Main article: River Song's sonic screwdriver

River Song had a sonic screwdriver of her own, which was an integral part of an adventure she shared with the Tenth Doctor on the Library planet.

Best practice for usage

Please only use this template to link to pages that actually exist.

While we generally like redlinks here at Tardis, it should be remembered that redlinks are not actually created on the mobile view of our site. Instead, links to uncreated pages simply show up as normal text. So using this template for an uncreated page would be confusing to non-editors reading our site on mobile devices.
