Alyx Pol-13 was a mining colony invaded by the Daleks.

After it was colonised, the Intergalactic Mining Corporation set up snowbases on the planet to drill into its molten-ice core. In June 2614, the Daleks invaded the planet and began planet clearance, starting with the destruction of Snowbase Beta. The colonists were unable to fight back. However, Captain Jacobean Cahill of Snowbase Alpha ordered the Plasma Ice-Drills and Digger-Buggies to be powered up for war. Waves of Daleks swept out of the blizzard, firing.
