John Normington (28 January 1937-26 July 2007[1]) appeared in two Doctor Who television stories: as Morgus in The Caves of Androzani and Trevor Sigma in The Happiness Patrol. He also played Tom Flanagan in the Torchwood story Ghost Machine.
He had earlier been considered for the role of Rorvik in Warriors' Gate[2] and Nilson in Warriors of the Deep.[3]

Normington was partnered for many years to theatrical wigmaker John Anderson. They remained together until Normington's passing in 2007.[1]

Normington was named by Gary Russell as his preferred choice to play the character Udentkista in an imaginary film version of his 1995 Virgin Missing Adventures novel, Invasion of the Cat People.
