Barclow was a dirty, unappealing planetoid in the Fostrix Galaxy. It was approximately four hundred miles in diameter. The sky was grey, the planet was muddy and there was no native life. The planet's usable atmosphere was only in a thin, fifty-mile belt.

Despite its lack of usability, Barclow was the cause of a war that lasted over a hundred twenty years, albeit not the most enthusiastic of wars. Though originally discovered by the Chelonians near the end of the Humanian Era, the humans from Metralubit found it shortly after.

Though neither side particularly wanted a war, they were influenced into setting up bases and preparing for it. Since the planet was so unwanted, the humans stalled with red tape. In the meantime, the human and Chelonian soldiers got along well and developed deep friendships. (PROSE: The Well-Mannered War)
