Kari was a space pirate.
Biography[[edit]]
Along with Olvir, Kari mistakenly boarded a ship transporting victims of Lazar's disease to Terminus.
She assisted the Fifth Doctor in preventing Terminus's engine from exploding, which would have destroyed the universe. (TV: Terminus)
Behind the scenes[[edit]]
- Writer Steve Gallagher originally wanted to call the character "Yoni" but John Nathan-Turner asked him to change it as this was Indian slang for "a part of the female anatomy". (INFO: Terminus)
- It is unknown what became of Kari and Olvir afterwards; they are last seen on-screen in part four destroying Terminus's control cables to ensure it no longer poses a threat to the Universe, and then having to work out how to get home.
