Lord Ferain was a Time Lord Director of Allegiance for the Celestial Intervention Agency.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

He kept a copy of An Alternative History of Skaro: The Daleks without Davros in his office. The Seventh Doctor later recognised him from the trenches of Skaro, (PROSE: Lungbarrow) where the Fourth Doctor was sent by a Time Lord messenger to interfere with the creation of the Daleks. (TV: Genesis of the Daleks) However, according to other account, this messenger was not Ferain but another Time Lord. (PROSE: The Dalek Problem, AUDIO: Ascension, et al.)

Ferain later had Leela arrested after she used Castellan codes to investigate the House of Lungbarrow on Gallifrey. (PROSE: Lungbarrow)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Ferain's name was not mentioned in the serial. It was first mentioned in the novel Lungbarrow, where he was identified as the same Time Lord from Genesis of the Daleks.
