Neville Smith (born 1940[1]) played D'Argenson in the Doctor Who television story The Reign of Terror.

Smith was also a writer for film and television. His career was shaped by collaborations with the directors Ken Loach and Stephen Frears, including on The Wednesday Play.[1] His work often had strong ties to his home city of Liverpool.
