Matthew Graham wrote the Doctor Who episode Fear Her and the two-parter The Rebel Flesh / The Almost People. Graham is best known as the co-creator of the series Life on Mars (which starred John Simm) and its sequel series Ashes to Ashes. He has also noted that the main character of Life on Mars, Sam Tyler, was named after Rose Tyler (albeit accidentally, as Graham had trouble thinking of a surname and took his daughter's suggestion of Tyler without realising her reasoning for choosing it).
