Hi everybody. Big Doctor Who fan here, happy to contribute to what will become the ultimate resource for info about the show. My main priority at the moment is getting story pages up to scratch.
Story articles I've edited so far:
The Web Planet, Arc of Infinity, Survival, The Mark of the Rani, The Daleks' Master Plan, The Tomb of the Cybermen, The Green Death, Logopolis, Robot, Castrovalva, Time-Flight, Vengeance on Varos, Timelash, Carnival of Monsters, The Invasion, The Sontaran Experiment, The Seeds of Death, The Hand of Fear, Inferno, The Keeper of Traken, The Ribos Operation, The Claws of Axos, The Pirate Planet, The Mind Robber, The Stones of Blood, Horror of Fang Rock, The Androids of Tara, Ghost Light, The Power of Kroll.
Next up: The Leisure Hive.
The ones I edited first are only half-complete. I will eventually get back to these and finish (well, do what I can) them.
After that, who knows, I'll probably just edit random articles.
Genesis of the Daleks (DVD)[[edit] | [edit source]]
(Infobox: Would contain series, release number, number of discs, running time, rating, previous/next release)
The Season 12 story Genesis of the Daleks was released as a 2-disc special edition.
Release Details[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Initially released individually as part of the regular classic Doctor Who DVD range.
- Included in Amazon UK's Dalek box set. This set can only be purchased from Amazon and contains The Dalek Invasion of Earth, Genesis of the Daleks, Resurrection of the Daleks, Revelation of the Daleks and Remembrance of the Daleks. It is exclusive to Region 2.
- Region 2 - 27th January 2007 (RRP: £79.99).
- Re-released in Region 2 with a special "O-ring" slipcover, along with select other Doctor Who stories, at a cheaper RRP. The discs and cover are identical to the regular release. This release was also Region 2 only.
- Also released as part of the Davros DVD box set. The set is limited to 10,000 copies in Region 2 and contains all classic series stories in which Davros, creator of the Daleks, appeared, as well as his appearances in the Big Finish audio range. A new audio play, The Davros Mission, was produced especially for this set. Only the Region 2 release has been announced thus far.
- Region 2 - 26th November 2007 (RRP: £99.99).
Story Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
From the back cover of the individual Region 2 release:
The Doctor's own people - the Time Lords - have foreseen a time in which the Daleks dominate all other lifeforms in the universe. So disturbing is this possibility, that they break their own Laws of Time in an attempt to change the future. And who better to send on this quest than their own renegade number - the Doctor.
Unwillingly transported into the fields and trenches of a battle-exhausted Skaro, the Doctor must face his most dangerous mission ever - to prevent the Daleks from ever being created.
Episodes[[edit] | [edit source]]
All six episodes from the story are included on one disc.
