Captain Rebec was a member of the secondary Thal taskforce sent to Spiridon to warn Taron's initial team about the true size of the Dalek army there. She was ostensibly this second unit's leader.
She quickly submitted to Taron's leadership, and readily took the Third Doctor's advice about how best to proceed against the huge Dalek force. (TV: Planet of the Daleks) She was later interrogated by the Celestial Intervention Agency as they researched the Daleks; her notes on how a humanoid may drive a Dalek casing from the inside were added to Ian Chesterton's, which she was given the chance to read before writing down her own testimony. (PROSE: The Dalek Problem)
Ayaka, a decendant of Rebec, named her daughter Rebec after their ancestor. (PROSE: War of the Daleks)
