BBC Television Centre is a television production facility in London. Although most intimately connected to the colour era of the original run of Doctor Who, it has been used to record at least parts of stories of each of the first nine Doctors, except the Eighth, and has been the subject of an episode of Doctor Who Confidential directed and hosted by David Tennant. It has also been seen in a few narratives, such as when it sustained an attack by the DWM comic strip character, Beep the Meep (pictured). Despite the building's historical importance to Doctor Who, it is currently being sold by the BBC. Read more.

Instructions for
This is the part of the Article of the Minute series of templates that is actually placed on the main page. It has virtually no user serviceable parts. It contains merely the mathematical randomiser that is used to figure out which of the aotm templates should then be called. The only interaction an admin needs to have with this template is to increment the base number as more of the aotm templates are created. Virtually the entirety of this template is:

As of 13 June 2012, there are 27 different aotm templates. Admin should increment the number in the random statement to be one less than the true number of aotm templates. (The "+1" math recognises the fact that a possible result of the expression is 0, but that the first aotm template is .)

Article of the minute

First introduced on screen in 1968, the sonic screwdriver has appeared in a number of adventures, and has been used by most incarnations of the Doctor. Apparently a product of Gallifreyan technology, several versions have been made, both by the Doctor and his associates. The Doctor has had at least seven different versions of a sonic screwdriver, with many of the versions exhibiting similar functions, such as disabling bombs, removing screws, destroying controls and dematerialising his TARDIS.
