Hermann was the butler of Count Scarlioni.

Hermann was once a Nazi soldier on a train that transported stolen art before being rescued during an attack. He came to work for Count Scarlioni. He sold several items on behalf of the Count, such as several Gutenberg Bibles. (PROSE: City of Death)

When the Count returned to 1979, he was in his true form and Hermann was nearby. Not knowing it was the Count, Hermann threw a vase at him, but it missed and hit the machinery, causing an explosion that killed both Scaroth and Hermann. (TV: City of Death)
