Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Garvin told Olive Hawthorne, the local white witch, that the previous vicar, Canon Smallwood, had been taken ill and had to retire — a story which Miss Hawthorne didn't believe in the slightest, as she knew Smallwood wouldn't have left in the middle of the night without saying goodbye to anyone.
When the new vicar, the Reverend Mr. Magister, otherwise known as the Master, failed to hypnotise Miss Hawthorne, Garvin tied her up and locked her in a chest. When Sergeant John Benton found her, a shotgun-wielding Garvin captured them, but he was soon afterwards vaporised by Azal. (TV: The Dæmons)
