The Kurgon system was the star system that contained the Kurgon Wonder. The natives believed the Wonder to be a gaseous anomaly. They invited delegates of the Galactic Wonders Commission on board the Edifice to examine the Wonder in the hopes that they would name it one of the Wonders of the Universe, which would increase tourism and boost their economy.
